His father, Late Haji Mohammad Shafi Sheikh, was a businessman, and his mother, Raziya Sheikh, is a homemaker. He has two brothers, Faizan Sheikh and Nadeem Sheikh, and two sisters, Seema Sheikh and Rubina Sheikh. Sheikh did his schooling at St. Mary’s School, Meerut, and graduated from Delhi University.
