Kuldeep Sen is a professional cricketer who plays for the Indian national team. He is a left-arm chinaman bowler and bats right-handed. Kuldeep was born on 14 December 1994 in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He started playing cricket at a very young age and was selected to play for the Uttar Pradesh Under-16 team in 2009. He made his first-class debut for Uttar Pradesh in the 2012–13 Ranji Trophy and played his first List A match during the 2013–14 Vijay Hazare Trophy. Kuldeep was bought by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) ahead of the 2014 Indian Premier League (IPL) season.

He made his IPL debut against the Delhi Daredevils in May 2014 and went on to play five matches in the tournament. He was then loaned to the Mumbai Indians for the 2015 IPL season. Kuldeep made his One Day International (ODI) debut for India against West Indies in June 2017 and took his first five-wicket haul in ODIs against England in July 2018. He has also represented India in Test cricket, making his debut against England in November 2018. He made his first-class debut for Uttar Pradesh in the year 2013 and took 3 wickets in the match. He was also selected to play for the India Under-19 team in the year 2014 and played against Bangladesh in the Youth Test series.

He made his List A debut for Uttar Pradesh in the year 2015 and took 2 wickets in the match. He was also selected to play for Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the year 2016. Kuldeep Sen made his domestic debut in 2016 for Jharkhand in the Ranji Trophy. He was the leading wicket-taker for Jharkhand in the tournament, with 27 wickets at an average of 19.48. He was also the leading wicket-taker in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, with 15 wickets at an average of 12.53. In 2017, he was signed by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for the Indian Premier League (IPL). He made his IPL debut against the Gujarat Lions and took two wickets for 26 runs. In the 2018 season, he took 18 wickets in 14 matches and was one of the main reasons for KKR’s successful campaign, as they went on to win the title. In 2019, he was bought by the Mumbai Indians (MI) for 5 crores. He played a vital role in MI’s title win, taking 24 wickets in 16 matches at an average of 20.41.

He was also the leading wicket-taker for Railways in the 2015/16 Ranji Trophy season with 41 wickets in nine matches. Kuldeep made his Twenty20 debut for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 2016 Indian Premier League (IPL) season. He played five matches for KKR and took seven wickets at an average of 12.71. In November 2016, Kuldeep was bought by the Mumbai Indians (MI) team for the 2017 IPL season for a sum of ₹4.2 crores (US$600)
